With today's confirmation of the Register of Companies of the Swiss Kanton of Uri, Educatis University has been transformed into a non-for-profit foundation under Swiss law. The Educatis Foundation will be supervised by the Swiss federal governmental agency for foundations.
With this major milestone the founders of Educatis and its Educatis University, Prof. Dr. Konstantin Theile und Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Blum have prepared the grounds for a long-term and world-wide expansion of its innovative network-University.
Education is a human right (article 26/1 of the universal declaration of Human Rights). The objective of the Educatis Foundation is the world-wide promotion and support of multilingual, affordable or free-of-charge academic education by way of utilising internet-based technologies. Its lectures and its academic research is based on the principle of sustainability.
Through partnerships with local institutions Educatis intends to be physically present world-wide. In so called "Country Programs" partner institutions will provide the local part of the programs (colloquia, supervised examinations and the thesis). This way local partners have a local source of income and actively participate in the operation of the university. The prices of all programs will be adjusted to the local purchase power.
With India the EGSM Educatis Graduate School of Management has already started its first Country Programs. More will follow soon.
